put a simple white v neck shirt under it...the only problem with doing this is that it might make you look wider since you have multiple layers on so to fix the problem put a cute waist belt with it to make your waist look good! hope this helps!';How would you make these ';school appropriate?';?
Well I think you mean a dress that shows your shoulders and you could wear a small short sweater or jacket or cardigan kind of like these:

that actually is the dress too :D
wear a shirt over or under them, that looks nice sometimes

i really only answerd because you said you like the name annabelle , thats my name, but i spell it with a e in the middle ,Annebelle, but tht was my mums fault , spelling doesnt run in the family as you may be able to tell

but shirt over or under, or a cardigan maybe
I think they are called slips, the sort of underwear that has the lace on the top and is silk or satin. I'd pick any color but red or pink, too flirtatious, and size it so it peaks out over the top. It's underwear I understand, but it looks crazilly appealing.
You can put a tank or t-shirt under it.

Or put a sweater over it.

well for the 1st one you could wear a tank top

maybe

i don't know if this matches or not but... maybe something like this

Wear them anyways. I always wear spaghetti straps to school. I just avoid the teachers that enforce the rule. Bring a jacket around just in case a teacher gets you in trouble.

wear a cardigan over it.

if you dont want to cover the dress too much something like this could work

Put a tee shirt like this under it:

or a cardigan over it.
Well they aren't strapless...

They do have straps.

Unless you mean you can't have thin straps.

So wear a shrug over them, or a cardigan. :)
i would wear a cute shrug or cardigan in a beige color that way it will blend in and won't draw attention to it
wear a cream colored cardigan with the first dress or a yellow cardigan.

and a blue cardigan for the second dress
well you could get a reaaly cute jaket to go with it and take it off untill you get yelled at then put it on and say you are hot
wear a tank underneath them or wear a cardigan
the second one's straps should be thick enough, but a shrug is best.
wear a sweater or put a t-shirt under it.
